NPGIA Declaration

NPGIA Members represent the finest aspects of the game of golf and represent integrity, honor and respect at all times to fellow teaching professional and clients. Only members in good standing maintain the right to identify themselves as current NPGIA members. Furthermore, International & Life Members must accurately identify themselves as such, in the marketing and promotion of their membership status. Any representation to the contrary will result in permanent discontinuation of membership and affiliation. Members are often in the public eye; therefore, it is essential to present true sportsman like conduct and good behavior, so as not to cause embarrassment to any professional, student or person in charge of operating a golf facility.

NPGIA Pretenders

With the success and Interest of the National Professional Golf Instructors Association there have been several other organizations claiming to offer the same if not more benefits as the NPGIA. With the ease of creating websites many other organizations promise the world with discounts and guaranteed job opportunities, etc. In fact, these organizations are poor copies of the NPGIA with virtually have no membership base, few benefits and no credibility in the golf teaching industry. Many of these organization offer deals and special certification opportunities to make a few dollars and certify members. It has been brought to our attention that some golf schools / instructor certification programs have been certifying instructors through the mail. This is not a acceptable practice by any means. Make sure to ask plenty of questions, also contact local golf clubs / golf schools and ask them who they recommend. The National Professional Golf Instructors Association is ranked as one of the top instructor certification programs in the world.
